Calogel is a weight loss formula designed to help you burn more calories while you sleep. It has a collagen (protein) based formula that is supposed to be taken on an empty stomach right before bed. You take 3 tablets and supposedly your body will have to work to burn that protein so your metabolism will be raised during the night. We question the validity of that science, but that is the premise. There is also a morning tablet that can be taken right when you wake up. No matter when you take it you’re supposed to take it on an empty stomach.

We looked at the ingredients in this product and came to the conclusion that it really can’t help you lose weight. It doesn’t contain any proven weight loss ingredients. In fact protein will only help you lose weight if taken right before or after exercise. A high protein diet will help you lose weight, but just taking protein in a pill without exercise may actually make you gain weight.
The ingredients in Cologel are entirely non beneficial for weight loss. Aloe Vera has been advertised for many health benefits, but none of those have been studied. Lecithin has also been shown to have some good effects on cholesterol. It comes from soy though so beware if you have a soy allergy. We really can’t recommend this product because it is not effective. There is nothing to suggest that it will help you lose weight, and the price is really more than many other products.
