Part of a group known as Cannabinoid 1 Receptor Blockers, Acomplia has been used in the UK and other parts of Europe previous to this. It is mainly supposed to fight addictive habits, and so they claim it can treat those obese patients, prevent you from gaining weight, promote some weight loss, and help you to stop smoking all at the same time. It works in the brain, gastrointestinal tract, liver, and adipose tissue, and when combined with diet and exercise, they claim acomplia can even help those suffering from type 2 diabetes. It is mean only for those with a high BMI, generally over 30. It is generally sold exclusively on the internet at this time.

Acomplia has now been banned in the UK and was never actually approved by the FDA as a prescription. They have found that its risks far outweigh its benefits, and they even claim that the makers, Sanofi Aventis, who are also responsible for Allegra for example, have hidden details about this particular product, hiding in particular negative clinical study results that claim it can contribute to diseases like Huntington’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, heart attack, stroke, and ultimately death.

Acomplia has never actually been proven to contribute to higher levels of weight loss. It has been shown to contribute to the cessation of smoking. The side effects are serious, and many countries in Europe have continued to successfully ban it. We would not suggest using it for any instance of weight loss or smoking.
